This is Massimo Di Nonno’s project on light pollution: the alteration of light levels naturally present in the nocturnal environment that change the perception of private space.
The author is fascinated by the manifestation of light inside the rooms he has stayed in. From Milan to Berlin, from London to the Czech Republic, Di Nonno collects images of “luce che viaggia, si diffonde nello spazio, raggiungendoci anche nei momenti più intimi come quelli della notte“. It passes through the windows projecting itself onto the walls of the rooms, stretching shadows or illuminating the objects and places within, giving a new appearance to those figures and presences that we associate with our intimate thoughts before sleep.
